General Terms and Conditions (GTC)
1. Field of application
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern the legal relationship between the Hotel Interlaken (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Hotel’) and the individual guest (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Guest’) for the provision of hotel rooms and for all other services and deliveries provided by the Hotel.
2. Conclusion of contract
A contract between the guest and the hotel is concluded upon acceptance of a reservation by the hotel, whereby the acceptance must be in written or electronic form. After confirmation of the reservation by the hotel, the contract is deemed concluded.
3. Prices and terms of payment
3.1. The prices quoted by the hotel are in Swiss francs (CHF) per room and per night including VAT and breakfast. All prices are net prices ( non-commissionable)
3.2. Unless otherwise agreed, additional services such as half board, parking fees etc. are not included in the price.
3.3. In the case of flexible prices, the invoice amount must be paid directly to the hotel on departure at the latest.
3.4. For non-refundable rates, the full invoice amount must be paid at the time of booking. No refunds will be made for changes or cancellations.
4. Arrival and departure
The reserved room is available to the guest from 15.00h (3.00 pm) on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, the room must be vacated by 11.00h (11.00 am) at the latest. The hotel may charge an additional fee for late departures.
5. Cancellation and no-show
5.1. Cancellation by the guest: Cancellation of the reservation must be made in writing. The following cancellation conditions apply, unless otherwise agreed in writing:
5.11. 01. May until 31. October
– Cancellations up to 5 days before the day of arrival: free of charge
– Cancellations after 5 days before the day of arrival: the first night
– No-show: In the event of a no-show without prior cancellation, the guest will be charged for the first night
5.12. 01. November until 31. April
– Cancellations up to 2 days before the day of arrival: free of charge
– Cancellations after 2 days before the day of arrival: the first night
– No-show: In the event of a no-show without prior cancellation, the guest will be charged for the first night
5.2. Cancellation by the hotel: The hotel is entitled to terminate the contract for good cause with immediate effect. Important reasons are in particular force majeure, natural disasters, strikes or other circumstances for which the hotel is not responsible and which make fulfilment of the contract impossible.
6. Liability
6.1. Liability of the hotel: The hotel is liable for damages caused by intent or gross negligence. The hotel shall only be liable for slight negligence in the event of a breach of material contractual obligations. Liability is in any case limited to the typically foreseeable damage.
6.2. Liability of the guest: The guest is liable for all damage or loss caused by him in the hotel, insofar as this is attributable to his fault or the fault of his accompanying persons or guests.
7. Data protection
The hotel is obliged to protect the guest’s personal data in accordance with the applicable data protection laws. The data will only be used within the framework of the business relationship between the guest and the hotel and will not be passed on to third parties unless this is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract.
8. Concluding provisions
8.1. Changes to the GTC: The hotel reserves the right to amend these GTC at any time. The guest will be notified of the amended GTC before the contract is concluded.

8.3. Place of jurisdiction and applicable law: The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in connection with this contract is the registered office of the hotel, unless the guest has a general place of jurisdiction in Switzerland. Swiss law shall apply.
